Salmon Pit Fire Set

Everything a child needs to play pit fire. This set includes four self-balancing redwood sticks, one salmon head, one salmon tail, and two salmon fillet pieces — all 3D printed in Northern California.

The sticks are printed in wood filament. The salmon pieces are printed in metallic filament. Getting them to fit together precisely wasn't easy — wood filament swells and metallic shrinks — but every piece in this set is engineered to balance and hold on its own.

Inspired by the salmon pit fire traditions of Northern California Indigenous culture. Beta-tested with real children in tribal daycare settings. For ages 3+.
